How can I solve my Debt problem as an Overseas student in the Uk? I have lived in the uk for 8 years now as an overseas student and my visa runs out in a couple of months . I have no intentions on staying here and I'm in huge debt , credit cards , overdrafts etc . There is no way I will be able to pay it all . Should I see Citizens Advice Beaureu ? I am lost about this and dont know what to do? Please help?
how can I solve my debt problems without lowering my credit rating even further,its poor as it is.? How to solve my debt. problem? I have a student loan to pay on or off and can afford to make a payment at this time but they are forcing me to by turning me over to an attorney. Also, I have other loans and bills that I can't afford now. I work but it's not enough and it's hard to get a second job where I live. I have two boys to take care of including myself. What to do.
More debt solves debt problem? Not soapboxing here (too much :-) but can anyone explain how government dumping Trillions of Federal Reserve Notes (which are borrowed into circulation) into the economy AND borrowing at least another Trillion or two to redistribute via fake jobs programs, "investment" in education and lots of other stimulating things, is supposed to solve the basic problem, which is that our entire economy is based on debt and credit and is failing because it has overdosed on it?
Is it irresponsible to have children when the couple is in debt? I have seen several examples of couples in serious debt trouble planning and then having children. Is this not an irresponsible behavior? Shouldn't the couple try to solve their debt problems before they have children so that the child can have all the opportunities and priviliges that a child should have?

Debt problems. What options do I have? First off I want to thank you all for taking the time to help me solve this problem. I am a 25 year old college student that is very deep in debt. I was able to make minimum payments on my cards and scrape by pretty much most of my adult life. During May I missed several payments but in June I caught up on all of the late payments. The problem was as I was catching up all of the old payments the new payments were coming in with double the amount due, late fees attached, increased interest and I had no funds to pay these bills. Well after that things just fell apart and I am so far in the hole I do not know how to get out. I contacted a consolidation company and they wanted about 780 dollars a month for the next four years to pay off my debt. I come home with about 1200 dollars and after rent, utilities and my cell phone that brings me over 1200 dollars. I do not know what to do. My minimum payments are through the roof and I cannot figure out a solution to this problem. Thanks
If a GIRL holds two fulltime jobs to solve her family debt problem,must she resist gettin in2 a relationship ? We have gone out several times, and she always forgets the time. That is, she always seems to love me a lot. However, the last time that we met, she threw tantrum about lacking sleep when I reminded her that it was about 3am already. And that was about 4 weeks ago. Since then, she has been insisting that I always drag her time. Sigh... She's NOT married. She's NOT opened up her problems to me yet. We have NOT held hands.
I would like to get some guidance on how to get solve my financial problems? My wife and I have gotten to the point where I am on the verge of getting my two cars repossessed. Recently I got my income lowered by $20000 a year and my debt exceeds my income. I am behind on my morgage in which I am paying out of each pay period to get it caught up because I do not want to lose my house but the other debts suffer because of this. What do I do about the threat of my cars eventually being repossessed? What other choices do I have besides bankruptcy? Can someone point my in the right direction?

Credit card debt problem and really need help solving it? Okay I admit I screwed up and went on a spending fee while in college and now I'm paying for it. I recently got laid off from my job, but this didn't stop the bills from coming. I'll tried ever thing in my power to set up a payment plan with my credit cards but now that I'm behind and most of the cards are in collection nobody want to work with me. Most of my credit cards are with a debt management program and some I'm making the minum payment, but there are some that are in collection and I don't like the way the reps talk to me. They're telling me that the account must pay the full amount as if I'm made of money. I've explained to them that I can't do this, but was willing to set up a payment plan. One credit card in collection I owe $1297.25 on it, but when I told them I could pay $25 to $30 a month until other credit cards are paid off and I'll raise the amount they laugh in my face. Their offer was to settle and pay $800.00. I can't do this. I have other bills to pay! Please help!

Serious debt problems! I have a really bad debt and my mom wants me to pay for it.....? I have a debt of about $1000 Cdn and my mom thinks i should pay for it. I've tried negotiating with her and family members but I'm told to solve this on my own. It's not because of shopping. Its actually health bills. My problem is I'm unemployed, and now is not the best time to ask my friends because they're stuck in their own financial situations regarding school tuition payments...ok all of us have money and debt issues. I'm in the process of looking for a new job and i haven't landed one yet. I've already cut off my cell phone and i sold a few designer clothes i have for a good offer. I sold some of my stuff inclidong some cds, art, stuffed animals, CD player, etc. I only covered about $250-$300. I'm still about $800 short. I don't want to do anything that breaks the law(shoplifting, robbery, etc.). That's just not me. Someone i've met last yet, an aquaintance, told me her biggest secret into staying out of debt and always having money......she SERIOUSLY DOES PROSTITUTION!! She told me that she doesnt do it often and when she's about to go broke then she does that. She has rent and bills to pay too but her job pays exactly enuff for her to pay for those....she needs money on the side for food, transprotation, tolietries, and heatlth things and thats the reason why she does that...... Now she was telling me she'll willing to pull a few strings for me in order to get out of that....but i have to do prostitution myself, she's willing to help me get customers.....I almost have no other way out.....I'm still waiting for job interviews and acceptances to work but i have to pay for this within a certain period........ So my problem now is choosing to do that. I'm aware of all these infections and stuff that you can get when you have sex...... I don't plan on that forever, i just need enuff to pay for my huge debt and i plan to stop....she's waiting for my 'ok' to go ahead but i still don't know.....
I have an idea to solve our national debt. Could you hewlp with teh details please? I thought if I could get all the pennies in the us together and use that money to start some sort of trust that will not allow with draws until a certain amount of time and money has pasdt and gained and then that money would be used to help pay the national debt or be given out to those in need. The idea was inspired by Ben Franklin who had a trust found in philly where if the politicians kept their hands off it, well by now would have generated enough money to pay the national debt three times over. A little bit added up over time eventually becomes a huge amount and a total of small amounts would equal into a huge sum and figured such an approach might solve this problem.

Why Fed solve problem of people spending too much money by giving them more money to spend? Why stimulus packages? Why reduce interest rates? People are sitting on big debt and many had already spent all their future money. Are we repeating the same assumption --house prices can go up forever and now consumer spending can too?
Hello people? The biggest problem at the moment is not getting us out of debt, but getting us out of debt AND? planning for the supply shortage in 2025! Technology needs to be invested in to accommodate for this! Don't you agree? We are past the carrying capacity of the earth and need to solve the real problems rather than spread propaganda and get ourselves out of debt without seeing the true dangers that we are to one day encouter.
Where can I get a low interest loan for debt consolidation? I have about $10,000 in credit card debt. The cards have been distroyed for about 9 months. I always pay more than the minimum amount due, never late payments etc. I cannot seem to make any headway. I pay almost $400 a month combined and it hardly does a thing. I have tried to apply for low/no interest cards to switch the balances but because I have too much "revolving credit" they turn me down. Then each inquiry into my credit to try and solve my problem also causes red flags on my credit report. My credit score is around 660 last time I checked. I am not a deadbeat; I am working really hard to fix this. I contacted debt management and they told me because I have decent interest rates and I am making payments they cannot help me. Is there some moderately weathly person who would personally lend me money at a low interest rate??? I just dont know what else to do.

Making money to ease national debt? I have heard a lot about countries being in debt, but I know that obviously countries can print their own money. So can anyone explain in an uncomplicated way why they can't solve these problems like this. I know it has something to do with inflation. I'm not sure that answers the question. The gold needs to be bought first and surely they could do that with the money they've printed. Anybody else got another answer?

Why do People go into Debt for? Where can I find debt advice? I am looking for someone ( I am willing to pay a fee) that will just talk to me about my current financial situation. I just need a fresh perspective. Can a credit card company collect a debt after 10 years? In 1993 I had a opened up an account with a bank for a credit card. The bank is now out of business. For over 3 years I never recieved any statements for this card. I conatcted the bank so many times about this problem. Never to get the problem solved. It was placed into 2 different collection agencies 5 years ago. I took it to my attorney, he tried to come up with an agreement to make payment arrangements with the bank. They never could agree on any certain payment arrangements then. I did get a letter from the bank saying that the account was closed and that I owed nothing. My attorney said to let it be and not worry. For the past 4 weeks, I have been calls from a company that is reluctant to give me the name of the company or the name of the persons who call me. All I get is demands to pay on this bill. The people who call are not English speaking and have heavy accents. I need to know if I will have to pay on this debt seeing it is so old. Do you think that raising taxes now is the answer, even considering the risk of pushing the country into a recession? Or do you support keeping taxes low, and attempting to solve the deficit and national debt problems through economic growth and spending restraint from this point forward? I can tell you that I would be much more likely to support the tax surcharge if I thought it would end with the Iraq War.
