Debt Problems

I currently have a little less than $3800 in debt. What would my best debt relief plan be?

I am looking for possibly a consumer credit counseling or debt relief program. Have any of you used one? Who would you recommend? Because of this, my credit rating is unbelievable low and taking on a new credit card or debt is not an option.

  1. This is a VERY manageable amount of debt and consumer credit counseling or a debt relief program would be overkill here...You don't need outside help. If your credit score is decent...above 680....apply for another card with a 0% balance transfer option then balance transfer this $3,800 to this new card...This can really help in paying down debt.
  2. pay each loaner a littlte as 10 a moth and if they take it as that they take that each month as payment
  3. slowly pay it
  4. its such a low amount why dont you work with your creditors. is it credit card debt or something else. debt programs generally hurt your credit and can cost so much and some times you can get ripped. try paying 50 or 100 a month...get a small side job to help pay in a few yrs it will be gone..or whatever you.d be surprised how little by little will get you....
  5. It is a very low amount of debt. You should consider getting a part-time job during Christmas and use that money to pay off this loan. If you cannot budget and handle $3800 debt how can you in future buy a car and a house ?
  6. Are you employed? $3800 is not that much - you should be able to pay it off easily if you just stop charging more.
  7. You don't need outside help - getting out of debt - especially a low amount like this is pretty straightforward : read more here http://lissiearticles.com/how-to-get-out-of-debt-and-save-money/
  8. If you simply got a second or third JOB for a year that debt would be gone and you might even have some to SAVE.
