What are arguments for and against debt relief to developing nations? list as many as you can for both please!
I need as many arguments as possible for arguments for debt relief and arguments against debt relief to developing nations....what are the good things about debt relief and the bad things...THANKS

- One argument for would be that helping a developing nation get their government and financing together would gain us an ally. An argument against could be that forgiving debt or giving them money to pay debt to other countries is misuse of our money and could promote dependence.
- For Political bargaining chip. Helping a developing country develop is good for the economy, theirs and ours. One less enemy to worry about. It gives us a foothold in their country. Strategically placed military bases helps protect the US. Against they become dependent on US and hate us anyway. Political bargaining chip is another word for blackmail. Their economy is more important than ours? Misuse of govt money. Just another way for the Bully(US) to control the little guy, gains support against us.
